How to measure your belt
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BELT SIZE
The easiest way to get the right fit is to measure a belt you already wear. Don't use your jean size or your usual belt size. Clothing sizes can vary between brands, and different buckles can change the overall length of a belt.
1. Find a belt that fits you well
Choose a belt that you currently wear and that fits comfortably.
Lay it flat on a table.
2. Measure from the buckle
Start your measurement at the end of the buckle, where the buckle's prong begins.
Measure in a straight line along the belt to the hole you normally use.
This measurement is your belt size.
3. Order that measurement
For example:
Inside of buckle → your usual hole = 37 inches
Your belt size is therefore 37".
You don't need to add anything to this measurement.

WHY I MEASURE THIS WAY
Buckles aren't all the same length, and larger buckles especially can impact measurements.
If you measure from where the leather folds around the buckle, changing to a different buckle can change where the belt actually sits on your body.
By measuring from the inside end of the buckle to the hole you use, the buckle length is already included in the measurement.
This gives us a much more reliable measurement regardless of the buckle style.
YOUR SIZE IS NOT YOUR JEAN SIZE
A tagged 34" pair of jeans doesn't necessarily measure 34" around your waist.
For this reason, please don't order a belt based solely on your trouser or jean size.
If you don't have a belt to measure, use a tape measure around your waist where you intend to wear the belt, then contact us before ordering and we can help determine the appropriate belt size.

YOUR BELT WILL BREAK IN
Good Leather changes as you wear it.
A new belt will initially feel firm, then gradually soften and conform to your body. Some leathers will stretch more than others, and we take the characteristics of the leather into account when making your belt. This is a desirable thing, it is forming to your shape, but it may see minor changes as it sets in like a good pair of boots.
Because every belt is individually handmade, a small variation in measurement is possible. This won't affect the function or durability of your belt.
